All smiles

av

Since he's doing better with controlling his head, we decided to pick up a Bumbo seat so he can sit up and be big, rather than always having to be on his back or his stomach.  He really likes sitting up and prefers being upright when you hold him.  Here in a few weeks he'll be good to sit in his chair on his own and play with toys!

Sporting the ball cap, loves it just like his mom!  (I usually throw one on on the days that I don't feel like doing my hair or just don't have the time to get to it)
Unfortunately, and you can really tell from this picture, he's losing all of his strawberry blonde/reddish hair!  He's got quite a bit left in the back, but he's lost it almost everywhere else.  His new hair is coming in light blonde!
He LOVES it when his dad comes home from either work or school to play with him!  Those two are pretty cute together... there's nothing sweeter than seeing dads play with their kids and Chris is so so good with Carter!  He told me the other day that he enjoys getting up in the middle of the night to feed him!  Don't get me wrong, I don't mind getting up with him, but there are times when it's almost painful to get up at those hours of the night!  Luckily he goes right back to sleep after his tummy is full!

Growing Up Way Too Fast!

Carter is closing in on nearly 3 months old!  Time goes by fast, but it's been exciting to see him change and develop more and more everyday.  Some of the most fun things he's started doing is definitely smiling more, starting to hold his head up better (though it's still a bit wobbly), reaching for and hitting toys, and giggling!  Chris and I were in heaven when we heard him giggle for the first time and we were fortunate enough to record it!

We love taking Carter on walks while the weather is still warm.  We go to different parks around Logan because there are just way too many bugs at our place, we'd get eaten alive if we did!

Don't mind the red socks with the brown outfit... his legs are getting some mass/chunk on them so these were the only clean option I had until we buy him some bigger ones!

He was a pretty happy kid during tummy time.  Our pediatrician told us that if we didn't work with Carter he may need physical therapy to help prevent Torticollis.  If that didn't make me feel like the worst mother in the world!  That's my profession and I didn't pick up on it soon enough.  Basically Carter wasn't turning his head to the right very much, if ever, so we've really been trying to get him to look that way and do stretching and positioning to prevent Torticollis.  He wasn't too fond of us always being on his right side, his toys positioned on the right side, noises coming from the right side, and tummy time w/ his head turned to the right, but he's gotten so much better with time!  He'll now look to the right on his own... such a relief!
Hanging out in the diaper... he liked being free, able to kick around for a  while!

We love this smiley, happy boy!

He still loves his bath time!  What a stud!

He's getting bigger all the time, they don't stay little for too long!
